Drunk van driver guilty of pub car park murder
3: A drink-driver has been found guilty of murdering an off-duty ambulance worker in a pub car park in April. Sheldon Flanighan, 24, died and his friend Wayne Common, 25, was seriously injured when they were run over by a van driven by Paul Robson, 50, outside the Bay Horse Inn in Cramlington, Northumberland, in the United Kingdom.
Robson had been drinking at the pub and got into an argument with Flanighan and Common before getting into his van and deliberately hitting them. He then fled the scene and was arrested the next day. He will be sentenced on November 17.
